Giving Back Through Research and Education

At Jemmstone, we are committed to establishing Alabama as the center of cannabis research and education.

The Jemmstone Cannabis Research Institute

Jemmstone is proud to announce the founding of the Jemmstone Cannabis Research Institute, as a cannabis research partnership with Radicle Science, the national leader in cannabis research, and Tuskegee University, one of Alabama’s most prestigious institution that has tradition of innovation and excellence in scientific research and education, science, and agriculture. Tuskegee University boasts first-in-class research and educational programs in agriculture, environmental science, engineering, biology, chemistry, food and nutritional sciences and nursing. Jemmstone Research collaborates with patients, physicians and other stakeholders in the Alabama Medical Cannabis Program to conduct ground-breaking research in the cannabis field, including an IRB-approved prospective open-label clinical study, designed to generate one of history's largest “Real World Evidence” (RWE) datasets pertaining to state-regulated medical cannabis.

We are confident that this research will prove invaluable for stakeholders ranging from regulators to healthcare providers to scientists to Alabama residents.  In this way, we hope to help the world understand how cannabis can best help patients to alleviating the debilitating symptoms caused by a host of intractable diseases and health conditions.

The Jemmstone School of Cannabis

We are honored to announce our partnership with Tuskegee University to launch the  Jemmstone School of Cannabis Studies at Tuskegee University.  The School will host to an unprecedented multi-disciplinary educational program designed to prepare students to immediately enter and succeed in the cannabis industry.  The programming will combine classroom instruction with Jemmstone internship offerings to provide students with both academic and real-world practical experience in an operating cannabis business.  Coursework will comprehensively cover all aspects of cannabis operations including cultivation, extraction and manufacturing, plant science and patient care, as well the business, legal, and project management.  Students will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with Tuskegee faculty and Jemmstone staff and executives to learn the business.

The School represents a natural progression of the Tuskegee University Industrial Hemp Program, through which it has been engaged in research and education regarding the cannabis plant through with the permission of the Alabama Department of Agriculture.  Through the School, the University will continue the proud tradition of scientific research and innovation of its founder, Booker T. Washington.
